Periclase-carbonaceous products for oxygen-converter industry are elaborated for different areas of steel-making unit and operation conditions. Periclase-carbonaceous products have the following advantages: high refractory properties, high strength, higher thermal cycle and aggressive slug attack resistance.

Repair mixtures

Repair mixtures are applied at hot repairs of converter trunnion, taphole and charging areas. Use of high quality raw materials and unique organic binders allows getting high rate of mixture adherence to the repaired surface and higher erosion/corrosion resistance. Good coking properties allow getting strong skull which makes converter operation life longer.

Taphole products made of high purity molten magnesite

Taphole products made of high purity molten magnesite with coarse-crystalline large-scaled graphite additives as raw material and addition of special antioxidants and binders. The products are available both in divided and monolithic forms. All the products have high antioxygenic properties, good strength, higher erosion/corrosion resistance, ease of installation and long service life.

Periclase-carbonaceous products for electric furnace steelmaking are manufactured of high-density coarse-crystalline magnesite and highly purified graphite with antioxidant additives as raw material. The products are characterized as highly strong, slag resistant, thermal-resistant, and refractory and allow significantly increasing steel making unit capacity.

Modern arch steel furnaces

Modern arch steel furnaces usually have monolithic small archs. ENCE GmbH supplies arch monolithic parts and monolithic archs for various furnace types destined for increase of service life. We manufacture and supply monolithic archs both in accordance with customers’ drawings and of our own design. We are also willing to supply required concretes for monolithic archs and offer technical support in arch casting on the customer’s site.

Products for eccentric bottom tapping

Products for eccentric bottom tapping are made of molten high-purity magnesite or coarse-crystalline magnesite with minimum MgO content of 98% with antioxidant and binder additives. Products for eccentric bottom tapping are manufactured separately. The products show good oxidation resistance, high strength, high erosion resistance, good durability and are easily installed.

Periclase-chromite products

Periclase-chromite products show excellent slag resistance, high thermal resistance, and good erosion resistance. They can be applied in AOD/VOD processes in DH/RH degassers, in non-ferrous metallurgy converters and cement kilns.

ENCE GmbH alumina-periclase and alumina-periclase-carbonaceous product line is made due to use of quality bauxites as raw material and organic and inorganic resins as binders. The products are used in ladle walls, bottom and other areas; they show good corrosion resistance, cracking resistance and high strength.

ENCE GmbH uses high-purity spinel and corundum as main raw materials and special additives and thus can offer spinel-periclase product line for steelmaking and secondary metallurgy of carbon-free steels.

periclase-carbonaceous products

ENCE GmbH can provide a complete line of periclase-carbonaceous products of high strength, slag resistance, refractoriness and heat resistance. The products are widely used in pouring ladle working lining. Optimal product forms are manufactured with consideration for individual customer’s requirements and real operation conditions of pouring ladles.

ENCE GmbH offers the following for slide gates: slide gate plates with various carbon content (including low-carbon steel grades), corundum-based, with zirconium oxide additives for resistance improvement.

We also manufacture and supply upper and lower nozzles for steel-tapping blocks, purging elements, taphole surroundings for purging and steel-tapping blocks which are corundum-based and contain various additives. All the products have high wear resistance.

Products for continuous steel casting: metal protection pipe, tundish lid, tundish heat insulating layer, tundish layer, monoblock stopper, tundish bottom, walls, baffles, drop plate, well block, open and closed jet pouring metering nozzles, and submerged nozzle.

Continuous steel-casting products are manufactured of corundum with various additives and are defined by high strength and durability. Product final chemical composition is formed in accordance both with the customer’s data and with real operation conditions.
